Want to send a gift to Canada from US. Would there be any custom costs even though it’s a gift?

I would like to send a cell phone worth $ 400 a friend of mine in Canada. He was charged customs fees or other? If you use FedEx, UPS or USPS? He even matter? If there is customs expenses, there is a way for me to know the exact time and pay in advance to say FedEx? Thank you for your help.

my best friend is a guy. . . . . . . lately ive been really falling for him (we are both 24 and i have never felt this way about him and we ahve been friends since we were 10). Anyway point of the question here is he calls today and he is like “you gotta come over to my paretns tonight and pick up some gifts that are under the tree for you” it turns out the gifts are from his aunts, uncles, cousins some gifts even address to the two of us! what does this mean? usually we just get each other gifts but never from his family! is it just me or could this be a sign about us maybe getting together soon?!!!!!
we are pretty much ALWAYS together when he comes back into town to visit so maybe thats why, they are just used to me being there?

What happened to men who are God’s gifts for women. Lately, for me it’s more like a curse. What happened to “cultivate the land,” blah, blah, blah “the woman kept house”, blah, blah. Is so erratic it’s no wonder the divorce rate is high. I just got married and my life is to work full time, cleaning the house full time, taking care of pets, and pay the bills. What the F # @ K!? Why do some men have built so lazy and selfish? I do not want here Mans brain can only think in a certain way. The fact that they can not see that friggin big patch of dirt on the floor. Why is it that you can only focus on Geting a great job for the little woman can stay home and do everything else. (All the other things that most men are not even considered the job but I do not want to do well.) Where is the man who revolutionized compete with us in women. If the marriage is at least 50/50 or 40/60. Geesh. You can not have a little help of equality, without having to bitch and fight about it. Do not want to be a gadfly. I like being quiet. Help! I apologize on blasphemy. Not always have the eloquence of the word w to say I am very, very angry or the use of words derrogatory. I’ll work on that. The gift of the gods for women. I say this because some men refer to themselves as such. I did not mean that the Bible says. I read the Bible (not all) seems a bit ‘vague in my questions of everyday life. I can not understand why people agree to stay together forever. Never tires, and ultimately dull and sullen. Why is so nice to meet a new person. People are very kind to foreigners who are his family. Incidentally, I tried to share part of my work with him. He is so distracted. If you do something like that you tend to forget.
