Tickets to a NHL Game as Christmas or Birthday gifts?

I would give my sister a couple of NHL hockey tickets as a Christmas present and birthday (his birthday is one day later). My problem is that I feel like watered down to get the second ticket, since none of my parents are big, big fans of hockey. I tell you to contribute to a good friend, who is also a big fan of hockey, and to meet. However, I am on the fence to give a lot of money for what essentially becomes a gift for someone I do not know. I think my one of my parents could be forced to go, if necessary, but I would avoid it. Also, I’m not a option to go by then I’ll be out of town. Someone was in a similar situation and what do you think? I am looking for opinions to help push me out the fence in one way or another. Thanks and Happy Holidays! I can not go, I will be out of town for school. Otherwise, I’d go, because I’m actually hooked on hockey.
